Phyllis Wolfe White
With over one hundred titles in print and one million copies sold around the world, Phyllis is thankful for the continued opportunity to do what she has always loved best: writing songs and making smiles in a career that has spanned nearly three decades with The Lorenz Corporation. Phyllis first began publishing with Heritage Music Press (a division of The Lorenz Corporation) while still a composition student at Oakland University, in Rochester, Michigan. There she earned a BM in Music Theory, a MM in Music Education, and is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education, with research interests in the nature of student learning in constructivist online music settings designed for the undergraduate non‑major. Having served on the adjunct faculty at Oakland University since 1987 as a Special Lecturer in music theory and aesthetics, Phyllis earned the coveted Excellence in Teaching Award in 2003. As creative in the classroom as in the composition studio, Phyllis was a 2009 recipient of OU's e‑Learning Development Award for her innovative courses.
